Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 — Article 33
The Commission must set up and maintain an information system by 30 December 2024 to collect due diligence statements. It must provide specific functions for operator registration, statement tracking, and data sharing with customs and authorities.
Why this doesn't apply to you
- The obligations listed are all addressed to the European Commission to build and maintain the Union information system for due diligence statements.
- They describe system functions like operator registration, statement tracking, and data sharing with customs — not actions required of individual traders.
- Your shop will need to use that system once it exists, but Article 33 itself does not give you any to-dos.
